So my replacement remote from Amazon turned up this afternoon, 5 seconds later all connected and working perfectly 👍

 

firmware on the remote is currently 5103.2.0

 

old one stuck in the man drawer lol

Low batteries? Don't think so when they were new in a week ago to resolve the same problem!

Ouch yeah that does not look good at all when it won't even find your WiFi Router. I think it says low batteries if it gets less then 90% lol.

The very same remote has been saying "low batteries" since it got taken out the box last week & apparently it doesn't like brand new ones either. 

As for the "box" & it's issues, it's not just the one that's lost Wi-Fi, it's all bloody 4 throughout my house! 

At time of writing I've 2 out of 4 re connected....

Got a 3rd puck delivered today, unable to set it up as the remote is dead.

 

Called support, tried un-pairing and pairing the remote, changed batteries, rebooted the puck, all failed.

 

A new remote has been ordered, hopefully it will arrive soon as the puck is useless without a remote.

 

The guy on the phone was great, although having a 'facetime' style conversation so he could watch me try pairing the remote and changing the batteries.

 

He did say that the remote will come back to life at some point between now and the new remote arriving - it's weird that the remotes are 'dying' for periods of time, with no idea what brings them back from the dead.

My failed remote never recovered (4.5 days).  So far no issues with new remote

I had a working remote that "died" 2 nights ago & has since come back to life after not being used for 2 days.

You've nothing to apologise for, it's not your fault & if it came across like I was ranting at you I apologise as that wasn't the case, just ranting in general at the fact that after barely having stream for a week it's not been a good journey so far!

Dunno about cause of death but a quick 999 call to report a "dead" remote had paramedics at my door with a defibrillator to bring it back to life!! 😂😂
