Re: Software version update
Yes, both on exactly the same Glass TV taken maybe 5 seconds apart. Both the EFL footy Luton v Boro. The only difference was the dark picture (lack of light in the room) is the UHD feed on channel 3050 and the Bright picture (lighting up my room) is the HD feed on channel 401

Re: Software version update
@Carnoch @My picture was Dull and dark when using the sky glass feed. Marks was bright and vibrant when feeding the tv through his Apple TV box. Hope this clears it up.

Re: Software version update
@Carnoch @I think you have misunderstood my post. I am watching BT sport in HDR on my Apple TV on my glass set. That picture is excellent. The picture I receive via Sky sports on UHD HDR is terrible and dark. My point is that is it an broadcast issue rather than the tv ?

Re: Software version update
@MDL6 @That's the same as what I have done by showing the HD and UHD feed for the same sky channel. That's all it does when you turn it off

Re: Software version update
@Kevincassie Does that not suggest the problem is NOT with the TV? It is capable of producing decent pictures.

Re: Software version update
From my own experience, Apple TV is the best streaming device on the market for getting the best in class. There's a reason it's more expensive than its competitors.
If I’ve helped today, give me a like.
Sky Stream and whole home.

pictures taken seconds apart - channel 401 HD the other channel 3050 UHD - ignore the picture quality but the difference in the amount of light being thrown into the room. All using the same custom settings, with the backlight fudge !
This with the lad test software update
Only my opinion, but I prefer the darker image, the brighter one has a white haze where it's so bright, appreciate you're only showing as a comparison of the feeds 👍 also what's the backlight fudge ?..

@Nic.hill its because your UHD feed is HLG HDR which on many TVs with inadequate 'nits' level (brightness), produces a dull picture.
Same issue as has occurred on Sky Q since they added hlg hdr this season. Solution on Q was to change settings from 10 bit to 8 bit.. (or to change to HD as you did)
I don't know if you can change to 8 bit in Sky Glass.

Re: Software version update
@M3rk the white haze your seeing will just be the camera , the tv image isn't like it. However picture quality/detail is not as good at the UHD. . both had backlight set at 99 and I was just showing that there no way it was outputting 99 in UHD.
The backlight fudge is to make sure that when you turn autobacklight off, that you knock it back from 100 to 99. This is because it still stores the last referenced brightness level that auto was outputting if you leave at 100.

Re: Software version update
@Doc5907 Thanks for the advice - However, there's no such option in the Glass settings that can be changed.

@Nic.hill Is there no option in your UHD picture settings to turn off HDR ?
