Re: Software version update

I have to wait for Holby to finish (wife wont let me!!)  but forgot to mention mine has frozen twice this eveing despite having SKy Ultrafast 150 mg.   Is this what we have to look foirward to - only used to suffer picture probs in torrential rain (once a year)

Re: Software version update

Yes my UI has also gone a bit laggy. Hopefully it will sort its self out.

Re: Software version update

@GD1  Oops, for reference I unplugged the tv then held the side power button and plugged in then released the button once it was flashing red on the front.

it's back up and running although had to refresh apps, and sign in to them all again. Fortunately my playlist appears intact.

Re: Software version update

Software updated through forced update. However UHD picture on sky sports Chanel 3050 still absolutely 💩

it's not looking good and if F1 is a shocking over the weekend I'll be in even deeper 💩💩

Sky, I don't want to go back Q but I also expect to have a picture equal to it better than my 7 year old LG 3d LED panel !

Re: Software version update

It's strange, people say that the tv technically isn't capable of producing a decent HDR picture because of the relatively low NITS level.

So I am watching the champions league on BT Sport Ultimate via my Apple TV box in HDR, comparing it to the Sky Sports UHD HDR picture is like night and day. The BT Sport picture is bright, detailed with vibrant colour, the Sky Sports UHD HDR picture is like watching through dirty cling film. Shows that technically though another source the tv is capable of a decent picture in HDR

Re: Software version update

The sky tv is quite shocking really. When watching BT sport tonight, (come on Man Utd) the picture is dull and dark. But when watching it on my old tv using the puck it is very bright and looks normal.

This with the lad test software update

Re: Software version update

Yep but is it the tv ? When I watch BT sport though Apple TV using the glass tv the picture is fantastic ? Still gives me hope that they can do some software fix or it's a broadcast issue.

Re: Software version update

@Kevincassie I think @Anonymous was actually saying another HDR feed from his Apple TV box connected to the sky glass gave a much brighter and better UHD picture , so why can't the sky feed do it ?  Unless I've got that wrong ?

Re: Software version update

I should have said (made it clearer) the dark image is channel 3050 UHD and the bright one channel 401 in HD

Re: Software version update

Two posts following eachother. One saying BT via Glass is "bright and vibrant"  the other saying it is "dull and dark". Tha clears that up then!

Re: Software version update

Will this software update just come automatically over night regardless ? I've tried the forced update method and it doesn't do anything other than reboot the TV.

Re: Software version update

@M3rk @Mine wouldn't work to start with. I had to try it several times. Just hold the power button on the TV until the red light starts blinking really fast.
