Skyglass wont wake up

Many a time i have the standy light illuminated on the tv, but no detection of motion will turn this on, i also try using the remote power on and off and still nothing, i try voice activation via the remote nothing, i also try the side power button on the tv also nothing, the only way to turn the tv on is remove mains plug and start, not very practical when plug socket is hidden behind tv on wall ?

this is my second replacement TV from sky as the previous one had major issues to the point it would not even boot up when un-plugging hopefully this one is not going the same way HELP !!!!!

@legin1964 first thing is to check the firmware version on the TV it should be QS02.08 which sorts lors of issues, second ensure that in Settings/Start up and Standby check the Networked stand by mode and turn off the over night power saving. Check that the microphone button on the side of the set is not pushed in.

When bringing the set out of standby press the home button once or say Hello Sky - either should work. Making multiple remote presses can lock up the TV.

Re: Skyglass wont wake up

chrisee, many thanks for the reply, i often do refresh apps and updates, i also read that doing a hard power off and re-start would push through the latest update, i will see later what firware version i am on and advise, as mentioned the side mute on the side i have tried that as well still to no avail,

The 4 weeks i have had skyglass after the intial start up it worked for 2 hours and then didnt, after speaking to 10 different sky customer service assistants over 7 days and spending many hours waiting on hold and numerous promises of them calling back, (only 2 agents did this) they eventually agreed to replace the TV,  which i have had now for about 10 days, and still getting issue of technical issue with no channels available frequently (TV is about 12' away from router and i have BT super fast fibre) i am going to hard wire via by ethernet this weekend, i did get some small credit of £14.00 to spend in the skystore, however no reduction in my monthly subscription for the time unable to use skyglass ?, seriously considering going back to skyQ if the hardwire does not fix the signal dropping out and if i still cannot power tv on with remote or voice/motion including jumping up and down in front of the TV like some kind of crazy frog,  (i am not going to unplug it from the mains everytime i want to watch TV to turn it on) it can go back.

Hope it works for you @legin1964 have to say once I had tested the wake on motion feature to make sure it worked the function was turned off never to return! 😀

Using The far field mic to wake the TV with "Hello Sky" works but I feel a bit of an idiot talking to a TV.
