SkyQ box keeps losing connection to my new Vodafone router

Ever since upgrading my broadband to Vodafone Pro, my skyQ box keeps losing wifi connection to the new router.
I have suffered failed downloads and it's a real pain to keep imputing a random 16 character password.

@K4jinsky there is a history of issues between some Vodafone routers and Sky Q boxes. Numerous threads with a variety of suggestions but no clear solution. One thing to try though is to use the reset network option on the Q box and follow the instructions there which clears the details of previous connections. See here https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/setting-up-sky-q/connect-to-third-party-router

If thst doesnt work try diabling powercszving on the Q box by switching from eco to active or none and do the same on the router if that has a power saving function.

Re: SkyQ box keeps losing connection to my new Vodafone router

I'm having the same issue as this, i spoke to vodafone and they informed me its because the 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands are joined, the sky Q boxs keeps connecting to the 5ghz automatically,  is there any way to manully set it on the sky box ?

Re: SkyQ box keeps losing connection to my new Vodafone router

I"ve just changed broadband to Vodafone pro and was getting the same issue of Wi-Fi to sky q box dropping, even worse none of the 3 mini boxes could connect to the sky q. However I've solved this by placing the Vodafone booster at the back of the sky q box and connected them both with an Ethernet cable. Then changed the network connection setting on sky to wired connection. The Vodafone router now talks to the Vodafone booster via its own Wi-Fi taking out the conflict. The cable then gives sky the best connection and the sky q talks to all the mini boxes without a problem. Hope this will help all those pulling their hair out...
