Same problem here! Bt broadband, worked fine until about 2 or more weeks ago, about the same time I downloaded/used app Peacock . Would this have anything to do with it?

I'm having the same problem, not on all programs but I'm trying to watch the landscapers & it keeps saying download failed

@jdsuede No dice here, my Q box is new, and I've used less than 3% so far. 

This problem is intermittent, and, as previously noted elsewhere, any "fixes" don't seem to last and may only be coincidental.

@Brian+McM  Do you mean letter I mentioned in my post? That letter that the engineer was talking about was to Sky employees, not Sky customers - why on earth would they be seen to admit this problem to us mere customers? 🤣

@Woodstersx5 Yours may well be, but for me and others here, it's also happening on non-UHD and no mini boxes, just one main, new, Sky Q box 😊

Hi! Just wanted to add into this thread - our downloads are failing and we are also BT Customers. And I know my parents are also experiencing the same issue and are BT customers. I will be contacting both over the weekend. So frustrating!!

As an IT expert of 30 years it beggars belief a company like Sky can't diagnose a problem like this.

@Michelle2904  Good thought, but no, no booster, just the router, router is in the same place it's always been, and Sky was working fine until recently. So sadly not that (I say "sadly" because it would be nice to get an actual reason for this nonsensical state of  [insert preferred swear word here].

@Michelle2904 And no mini boxes, just the main Q box, newly installed on Monday this week, though the DownloadFailed issue has worsened from what it was on the old HD+ box as to what loop de loops the Q box is currently producing.

@Anonymous I feel the same! It's beginning to dominate my viewing wants because I can't download what I want to download. 

Back to trying downloads at Silly o'Clock in the morning, it's the only thing that's worked for me so far. Something to do with server traffic?

@KJBH  It's happening to non-BT customers too. 

The volume of BT customers it is affecting is probably due to BT being the biggest bb provider here atm.

Just jumping on the bandwagon. Same issues for me, slow download speeds (not all the time) and failed downloads. First engineer replaced the box, after a few days the issues were back. Second engineer installed a booster as a last resort after ruling out my router and the Q box. A few days later and we are back again with slow speeds and download failures (most recent example downloaded 75% of a Game of Thrones episode and then failed!).
