The DNS change was on the Q box, many previous posts give full instructions. Big list of DNS details included.
It worked well for me but you must save the setting then cold start the Q box.
However, as I said, mine is now working as it should.
I would suggest, if nothing else, do a full cold start on the Q box, (power off at the wall, leave for a minute then restart) it may clear up your issue.

I have updated my software today and it is showing
Q180.000.16.00L(5f5ezi8) which is presumably an older version than yours
Any ideas?
(SkyQ with 4 minis)

@IHSIAN if you have a V2 or a V3 Sky Q box then you will be on the software that ends in 16.00L if it is a V1 Qbox then the software version will end in 17.00L only difference is a slight variation on the numbers for the V1 boxes otherwise the software is the same so I would guess you have a V2 or a V3 box

Still not working
I have emailed them again to say I will be exploring my options at the end of my contract as I am hugely disappointed, especially when someone at Sky in here has said it's all been fixed, yet it clearly hasn't

I sent a complaint saying the same thing a couple of weeks ago. I may still look at other options due to this having happened and the fact that it's costing so much.

@Oldchick I think it's terrible customer service, not only because it's talking so long to sort, even though someone people it's working, but the fact that someone on here from Sky has said it's now been fixed. I find that totally unacceptable

@IHSIAN I also have that software version, apparently it is the latest available for our V2 boxes.
Lets hope Sky are working on a fix for this version too!

This situation just keeps swinging between slightly different problems, my Q box was recording Death in Paradise last night and we joined it about 10 mins into the recording, and after about 20 mins the box started churning away as if it couldn't read the hard drive, then it said there was no internet and finally it froze completely and needed to be power cycled!!
This was the thing that was happening some time ago when the hard drive in the box was over 50% utilised!
It just seems that there is a massive instability in the software, almost like they are adding functionality to a base software product that was never designed to do it!?

Had my chat with the senior department this morning and they have confirmed it's still not fixed, despite saying here it is. I did mention to them that people on here saying it has been sorted but they said this is not the case. I am getting a call in two weeks with an update. They also said it is a problem with sky

@Super+Anthony The Sky staff on here can only pass on the information they have been given and it does appear that whatever Sky did when the CM was told the problem had been fixed did solve the problem for the majority of people. Yes it's not good that there are still some who are having problems but as it is still being looked into im sure Sky will sort it soon

@Laing1 I am only adding what the senior department told me and they don't understand where the information has come from. The person said nothing has been fixed. As mentioned,I told them about here but they said it is not the case and the issue is still being looked at
