@grog+arson Makes no sense does it? How this wasn't picked up in testing I have no idea - downloading a programme must be one of the top user actions.

If everybody tried this and asked for a refund for not providing the service, Sky might treat it with a bit more urgency

Just tried resolver, you just get an auto reply from SKY saying they don't respond and to call or write to them.

I have been having the same problem for a week now! Managed to get through to sky once, husband thought it was resolved.....it wasn't!
Have tried calling since then but each time hubby has been in a queue for an hour+ so hung up.
I have sent a complaint form as advised in a reply above,so fingers crossed this gets resolved soon.

Hi @Oldchick this problem will get resolved eventually, but I wouldn't expect it to be fixed before the new year, so if you feel comfortable doing it (it's not really that difficult 😊), follow the instructions as mentioned in my post above and it should get you up and running again. 👍

After yet another failed download from All4 I gave in and did the 8.8.8.8 mod to the DNS on main box, I have two minis as well but left them alone.
Rebooted main box and tried again and the same download I tried earlier worked straight away , I also started another movie download and a further download from a mini box that had not had the DNS change and all worked.
I am on BT but didn't touch the router.
I don't know if it will hold but at least I got something down though interesting enough I did manage a movie download from a mini box late last night.
Sky really need to come clean on this.

if you have problems, it may be worth changing the DNS address to the specific BT one as mentioned in the earlier post as we know that eventually 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1 stop working.

Seems to be working now for me now. I'm managing to download Landscapers and Succession episodes that were constantly failing previously.
