yes, we have been experiencing the same issues. Recording fine but will not download. Wonder if BT internet and SKy have fallen out! incredibly frustraiting to say the least, and Sky unfortunatley offer broadband where we live (yet) so can not even switch.

@IHSIAN could you watch what you downloaded fully?
We changed DNS to 8.8.8.8 and it failed.
Tried 1.1.1.1 and managed to download a few more things with the odd fail but a lot of what we downloaded from Sky channels freezes and pixilated! C4 stuff etc was all ok to watch though.

Hi. We followed your steps to network set up but, the only option it gave us was "reset". Is there anywhere else we could work this magic? thanks

@Kezzaboo Hi, follow the instructions from myself or @SecretBob and set the DNS on your Sky box to the appropriate address for your broadband provider.

@mike1944 it seems we've possibly established this is an issue that BT needs to fix. For sky to return their dns server settings back to where they were might require more of an undertaking than it would for BT to make just a configuration change.
If one is into conspiracy theories then it could be that it is in no interest to BT to make these changes rapidly so as to make sky look bad. However I'd like to feel that there is nothing untoward going on..

it's an odd one, but as it's impacting mulptiple broadband suppliers, all of which have a different DNS, then I would be inclined to say that its Sky and not everybody else that's at fault.

I have exactly the same problem. It started with not being able to download landscapers on Friday evening, and this evening it won't download anything from all sky channels !! I spent over an hour on the phone with sky tech on Saturday morning too, trying to solve it but in all honesty he didn't have a clue. It appears that sky have a major issue here, and the fact that we are paying subscriptions for the failed services it needs correcting pretty quickly !!

According to what the engineer that I spoke to, it is a Sky problem.The reason it is only happening on Sky downloads and on demand etc is that these have adverts in them which are old adverts. These are on a different server to the actual programme and Sky Q cannot cope with this. This is why Netflix, BBCiplayer, Amazon and now I assume Appletv all work because there are no adverts
It has been an issue for several months and a fix is being worked on. The 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1 temporary fix and it seems to be a different length of temporary for different subscribers

i did have one instalment that pixelated but deleted it and managed to download it again. The rest have been OK

Well my broadband is through EE so I think not a BB issue, although BR and EE are together now with believe

But we are with EE and and they aren't blanking EE. Sky have acknowledged the fault it there end to us earlier this week. They even told me problems for BT customers were fixed. But clearly not... If you are still having trouble you need to ring them again and start refusing to pay to your contract until resolved. This is not on. I refuse to pay for a service I can't use. I may as well ditch sky and go out and buy a freeview box with recorder!

This has been going on long enough. I've done multiple software updates and made sure download box is clean and even completely reset the box but still not working its not nothing to do with who ur with or what channels u use it's just a problem with sky that they need to sort out as we're paying so much fir a service we're not getting.
