Definitely WiFi6 in both (and Comcast themselves leaked that last week): what's weird is the ethernet is specified as 10/100 rather than gigabit.

Tech spurt have just posted on YouTube an early view from seeing it at the launch event. He seems pleased with it and is saying great sound and picture (though compared to what I would like to know).

Just watched the video on youtube, is it me or does the image look washed out on the angled views?

No, if it's intended to be a killer feature of Glass.

we will get an idea of how hard sky is trying to make the transition away from Q to Glass & puck.
They are bound to be pushing it because the TV represents not only a new revenue stream for them but also possible 4-year contracts if punters fall for the loan deal. Although why anyone would buy a one-trick TV which becomes a paperweight if they ever decide to cancel Sky, I don't know. They are going to have to come up with a way to give a Glass TV independence. Maybe it will at least work with other set-top boxes.
Since my SkyQ service has only just become acceptable thanks to the corruption issues which were largely fixed by Q170, I'm going nowhere for a long while. But Sky will probably find a way to sabotage the Q service again so that more people are pushed into switching.
That said, I wouldn't denigrate the Glass TV yet as Sky's hardware has mostly been very good and long-lived for me, at least in the Murdoch days.

It's Quantum dot, not OLED 😞

It's a 2 or 4 year interest free loan for the TV (or can be purchased with a one-off payment), but a monthly contract for Sky services.
And if Sky is cancelled, the TV still works, but with a much reduced feature set.

Freeview through that DTT DVB-T/T2 socket, I guess (plus FTA streaming, perhaps?)
Still pretty much a lobotimised 'smart' TV at that point though.

Re: Sky to launch Sky Q without dish by Xmas based on Xfinity X1 box
I guess it all depends on your loyalty to sky.
I wouldn't be purchasing one of these if I thought I was leaving sky any time soon as you lose the key selling points of what it has to offer. I've been with sky for a long time, but I make the regular yearly call to cancel when they go to push the price up to what I am not willing to pay and get something I can agree too every time. Been doing it for over a decade.
clearly if you pay the monthly fee (2 years or 4 years) you will get a contract for that amount of time. If the cost of the service is something your willing to pay then it should be fine. If after 4 years the cost goes up and you can't negotiate down then leave. You have effectively rented the tv at a reasonable price assuming the tv is as good as they claim.
