Hi, can anyone help? I've had this taken from my account and it matches my bill amount exactly but I've never had it called this before. Did a little googling and it's saying the digits are a phone number and it's someone who's stolen it from my account? I don't know where to go from here.. just want someone to let me know one way or another if this is genuinely fraud and not Sky?
thanks so much!

Its looks like an older customer service number for sky before they switched to 03442 local rate numbers. Can you think of any thing (subscription, extra sky q minis, booster boxes etc) that you may have bought from Sky Subscriber Services

Find out more@Bethanyjx1 if you don't normally pay by debit card and your payments to Sky up to date before this payment was made, I'd suspect it's fraudulent. I agree with @cookiemonsteruk that the quoted account number does look like an old Sky phone number.

The number also appears on a local council expenditure list as Sky Subscriber Services for tv subscription and Sky shopping centre kiosks

for regular payments the Sky account number is normally used as the reference not a phone number

I have just had the exact same thing, the sky subscription and that telephone number, which I rang and said sky premium ! ..... I phoned my bank reported it, they said phone sky which I have and I pay by dd so it isn't me. They said I have to wait to see if it goes out!!!. Surely sky can do better than this. We don't pay by card!!!!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@kazsi2011 Sky can't really do much about scammers purposely being Sky, somehow the scammers have obtained your details from somewhere ( not specifically from sky) and are using them in the disguise of sky
all you can do is what you have already done and that's reported to both Sky and the bank
i wish you all the best in trying to recover the money
