Sky+ old equipment

Hi I upgraded to SkyQ 18 months ago and still have my unused sky+ box in a cupboard. I'm moving house and don't want to take it with me if I don't have to. Would I need to send it back or can I dispose of it in some way?

Sky+ hardware is yours to do with as you see fit.  Sky will accept it back for recycling if you wish.
