Sky email not working

Is anyone else having trouble accessing there emails? Or is yahoo mail down at the moment. Any help is appreciated.

@Eazylife , Deleting account and reinstalling as per my previous post should definitely work with an iPhone.  Selecting Yahoo from the list of providers is an essential step.

Then just follow the prompts using your usual password.

Yahoo mail is working normally; the most likely thing you need to do if using a phone or a tablet is delete your email account, reboot device and reinstall it.  Be sure to select Yahoo from the list of providers and follow the prompts. 

 

If using Outlook for Windows or the Gmail app, then you need to replace your usual password with a 16 character one generated via the link below:

https://www.sky.com/sky-yahoo-mail/manage-apps 

 

Continue to use your usual password for logging into webmail etc.

No, Sky Yahoo Mail isn't down. A quick look through the forum would show you that lots of people are having difficulty accessing their email, following the implementation of new authentication requirements (Oauth2). If you can't find a solution among the many suggestions already made and you'd like the forum to help, tell us what device and app you're using for Sky Yahoo Mail. I'm assuming you can still access your email via the link here:  https://skyid.sky.com/signin/email

I'm using the mail app on my iPhone 8, sorry I'm not very good at things like this 🙈

I am using an iPhone X - my emails stopped working after I installed the latest software upgrade. I have deleted the email account and tried to re-install but it keeps coming up with the same error message and not installing the account.  Not sure what else to do.

Trying reinstall with Yohoo as provider and keeps asking me to check if I need an app specific password. How do I find out if I do, and if I do where do I enter app specific password?

Try your usual Sky email password.

@majacmun112 , If you install the email account on your app by selecting Yahoo from the list of providers,  then you use your usual password. 

 

If you are setting your account up by manually entering server details or the 'selecting Yahoo' method doesn't work, then use 16 character app password to replace your usual one.

A couple of issues and help to anyone having trouble with Sky email using an iPad:

 

(1) For my Android phone - I was able to use the link to generate a password and I can now successfully receive my emails again.

 

(2) For my iPad - this process did not work. I tried a number of times to generate the password which I added to the seettings but this would not work for me  and got the Sky email error message each time. So - the work around that I used was to delete the sky email account that I added through the apple mail application. I then added my sky email account back by using Yahoo. With the latter workaround - I can now get my sky emails again rather than seeing that stupid error.

Can't  access e malls after 24 Feb.  This is with my Sky e mail address.  What do i do.
