Sky cinema advert causes my sky+ box to freeze

Hi.

Whenever the sky cinema advert advertising Mission Impossible and Frozen 2 comes on it somehow causes my box to malfunction. 

The picture freezes/moves very slow and the sound stops.  It jams up the whole box.  Whatever buttons I press do not work such as trying to switch channels etc.  It tends to catch up after about 5 minutes and goes goes back to normal.  It's been happening few weeks now and at first it was a bit annoying, now it's very annoying.     

We basically can't watch any sky channels in case the advert comes on. While it jams it will cancel any other recordings currently recording.  Also if something is downloading it will freeze the download, say it is resuming when "mended" but it just says available and never actually completed the download.  Then when I delete the download so I can try again, pressing delete also freezes the sky box.  Then I need to unplug at the wall.  My box has been turned off at the wall almost daily now.  

Has anyone had the same issue with this one advert appearing to cause the box to malfunction?

Try a planner rebuild:

Press Services on your remote

Select Help

Select Sky+ Rebuild

This should take no longer than 10 minutes, don't do it if you are recording or due to start recording something.

I have exactly the same problem. Rang Sky and they just told me to reboot the box. After explaining that rebooting the box daily is not a fix I am now having a visit from an "engineer" to replace the dish, card and box all for free. It pays to persevere sometimes. Good luck

I'm having the same issue. It's annoying same point everytime the sky advert comes on half way through it freezes the channel and I have to go up and down a channel for it to play
