Sky broadband speed issue

Hello, 

 

Usually my sky broadband is very satisfactory but over the last few days it has became extremely slow and nearly unusable! I have tried resetting it and turning it on and off many times. The router is well over 5 years old, would that be the issue? 

 

Any help or guidance at all would be appreciated!
