Sky broadband should not working

for the past 3-4 months now my sky broadband shield has not been working, I've reset the box, unplugged , tried every option and all the sites I'm trying to block keep showing. I have 2 children in the house and don't like the fact adult websites are still showing even when I've selected age 13 or PG so they should be blocked! Can someone help please
