Sky+ box? As in the boxes from before HD was launched 15 years ago? Probably a knackered fan bearing?

anyway: oh three three three

seven five nine

three five five oh

it's in the My Sky app

@D20601 you could try repositioning the box slightly to see if it goes away. Also try restarting the box by switching off at the plug for 4 minutes, just in case it's a glitch causing a cooling fan to run at high speed.

If it persists the box will need to ne replaced. You can either contact Sky, who will probably book an engineer appointment at a cost of £65 so that the box can be replaced.

Alternatively you could source your own used replacement via ebay etc at less cost. Note that the last  Sky+  boxes (of any type) were manufactured in 2015/2016 so you won't get a new replacement now. Look for a DRX890 or DRX895 model with a W or WL suffix (e.g. DRX890WL) as they're the most recent.

Or you might want to consider upgrading to Sky Q, which is undoubtedly what Sky will urge you to do if you speak to them.
