Sky blocked

Sky all of a sudden has blocked a website I always use and I don't even have sky shield activated. I can't understand what's happening all of a sudden

Can you expand on 'blocked? Is there an error message? Sky don't intentionally block websites unless required to do so to meet legal requirements.

It just says access blocked and website not available through sky. I had one of my friends try on their laptop (also a sky customer) and they got onto it without any problems. I have my shield disabled and have never had a problem with this site before. Now my phone, and laptop can't access this page.

If your Sky customer friend can access the site, it can't be blocked. Try turning off your Sky Hub at the plug for 30 minutes or so to give you a new IP address and see if that resolves it.

@Joni2021 some browsers will block access to sites that are considered unsafe usually where the web address starts http: rather than the secure https: could that be the problem?

If not post the web address and someone can check for you.

I have been using this site for over a year. Everyone else I know can still use the site, it hasn't been shut down.

@Joni2021 according to the list here Watchmovie was blocked by a Court Order issued in 2016. Pirate sites try to get round these restrictions by changing their web addresses and the ISPs play wack-a-mole so its only a metter of time before all of the major ISPs apply a block. 

Not a wise move to complain about not to be able to  pirate movies on Sky's forum.😉

Well as a court order it must be obeyed by all isps . Can only assumed othes are using vpn

@Joni2021 I think you are totally missing the point here.
The website you have mentioned, as others have found, is hosting or providing material that is protected by copyright law, illegally, for free, which is fraud, and a court has ordered ISP's to ban access to that website as a result. 

Quite why it isn't blocked on other ISP's or whatever I'm not sure, but there isn't anything you can do to get it unblocked as it is currently in your situation, and you don't have a leg to stand on to get a "pirate site" unblocked.
