Broadband
I am looking at a longer adsl cable so I can move the hub, and want to know if 5 metres or so will affect the internet speed.

@Aj36The ADSL specification says 30M so you should have no problems.

Any ADSL cable longer than the one you are using has the potential to somewhat reduce your speed because you are essentially increasing the cable distance between your router & the cabinet. However 5m should have very little to no impact.
