Phone engaged

My mums has become permanently engaged today. She can ring out but not receive calls, she's 92 and I need to be able to contact her regularly as she has memory problems. Any ideas what it could be.

Hello I can make calls but cannot receive them

Hey all I have had Sky Broadband and Sky Talk for about a year, today I can't receive any incoming calls but can make outbound calls. All lights are green on router. Please can someone advise?

Thank you @GD1 I did check the service status before and it wasn't an issue but it looks like there is now, is this nationwide or a particular area?

Can’t receive calls on landline, just get an engaged tone then cuts off BUT can make calls as normal

Suddenly unable to receive calls, get engaged tone then cuts off. Can make calls though as normal with normal dialling tone. Urgent issue as the problem is my fathers phone and he is disabled. Please can anyone help. Thank you
