Sky + Stuck on initialising after moving it

We recently moved the Sky box to another room. Since then when it loads up, on any channel is says 'Your Sky+HD Box isn't getting a satellite signal.'

 

I try to use catch up TV and it gives the error 'You do not have Sky+ entitlement.'

 

I went to Sky+ Rebuild on the help section, and it says 'Your box is still initialising'. It gives this error on the Planner too.

Are the cables in firmly since you moved it, have you tried changing them around so the one that is in input one goes in input two ?

Is your dish Sky+ or Sky Q compatible?

The dish had a different Sky+ box connected to it before, older model, could that be it?

All sky boxes prior to Sky Q use the same type of LNB on the dish but are incompatible with the LNB that Sky Q uses so if you put an older box on a Sky Q dish it will give the no signal error and not be able to initialise

It's not Sky Q, it's just an older model Sky+ HD model

Then there is an issue with one or more of the following:

 

  • The tuners in the Sky box
  • The Dish input sockets on the Sky box
  • The plugs on the cables
  • The cables themselves
  • The sockets on the LNB
  • The LNB itself
