Sky Q multiroom
Can someone tell me why I can't watch on more than 2 sky q minis at the same time.
it just doesn't make sense to me. When I had the older boxes, I could watch on as many boxes and rooms in same house. Now I have sky q, I get limited in the number of rooms I can watch
is there anyway I can get around this?

Re: Sky Q multiroom
@ChinenyeUK The 2TB boxes only allow viewing on the main & 2 mini's at the same time.

Please note I only provide help on the main forums and not via PM, PM's are switched off.

Yeah. I've noticed that. But it's been frustrating though. I could watch more previously until I switched to sky q

Re: Sky Q multiroom
hi @ChinenyeUK on SKY Q the main box acts as a media server to the minis.
It is the physical capabilites of the main box that restricts the ability to support only 2 minis (the original 1TB non UHD could only support 1)
It is a different set up to the old SKY HD multiscreen which had satellite feeds to separate boxes

SKY Q does have many benefits (UHD/ Atmos/ apps / Voice control etc) but not everyone benefits from them and it is a backward step for some features like the separate physical boxes with the old mutiroom
Personally I have never regretted moving (4+ years ago now) but I fully understand that for some the old SKY HD system fitted their needs better

Re: Sky Q multiroom
Yes. The voice control is good. The UHD also good.
but when ine has more rooms and people in those rooms wanting to watch TV separately, becomes a problem

- You can use the main box and 2 of 4 minis unless you are watching a streaming service on another box then 3 or maybe 4 of 4, try it?

Re: Sky Q multiroom
@ChinenyeUKit might be worth looking at Sky glass.
BUT Read up about it first as although many people like it many don't so better be sure it suits your needs first probably only suitable if you want a new or additional TV.
