I assume I have been upgraded because Catch-Up is now horrible and difficult to find the episode of a program you want to download.

@Tomtank62Go into settings and look at the info it will tell you what version you are on but you are probably right.

Today I received a Sky Q 2TB V3 box and I was ableto download and install Q170. I then tried to download and install Q170 on the mini box and It's still on Q160. Any idea what's going on?

It may have needed to go into standby to install Q170. Maybe that bit wasn't done. See if it is on Q170 now it's been into standby.

 

Failing that, just try the software update again.

I did put the box in standby.I tried updating it twice yesterday. I did update the main box on Tuesday no problem. I'll give themini one more try and if i fails, I'll call Sky.

@LGUserYour Q box may be one of the ones they have rolled back to Q160 in which case you will not be able to update it until they release Q170 to those boxes.

Does the rollback also pertain to some mini boxes?

Weirdly my main Sky Q 2tb box and mini both have rolled back themselves to Q160. Anyone know why?

It's due to problems with the Q170 firmware and certain box versions. My mini also is stuck on Q160 but my V3 Q 2TB has Q170. I'm thinking my mini is a 1st gen.

 

Are your boxes 1st gen?

Yes both of my minis are first gen the odd thing is my main box and the minis updated and then reverted back.

@Paulheg2 Sky are doing some more testing with the software before Q17 is restored to V1 boxes.

Speaking of Q17 issues is anybody else having problems when forwarding the begging of recording and the bar wising across but the AV playing as normal?  It's happened to many times for it not to be a glitch now for me. 

SkyQ 2TBv3 (32B206 - Q270.000.10.9L (5u193ht) (Ethernet) on LGUM7400, SkyQMini (32D0B2 - Q270.000.10.9L (5u193ht) (Ethernet) Virgin Media BB.

V3 2TB box here and no problem with FF/RW on Q170.

I am having the same problem whereas it upgraded to Q17 and then reverted back to Q16. I have tried to manually update and it says it's been updated with the new software and then after standby it is still showing q160? 

I have one of the 1st gen boxes and after ringing Sky they weren't sure why this happened. Will this update at some stage or do we need a new box?

Hi @Tallulah224, yes, SKY have rolled the 1st gen 2TB back to Q160 whilst they investigate some potential problems.

 

It is a quirk on SKY Q  that the download option remains even when you have the latest version available for your box - in this case it is Q160 until they decide the problem is solved
