Sky Puck stuttering

every time I switch on my Sky Puck the video and audio stutter, like it's in slow motion. Have to reboot every time. Anyone else have this issue?

Re: Sky Puck stuttering

I think the majority have issues with the pucks.

My main two are:

  • BBC iPlayer UHD content does not show or play.
  • Watching live UHD sport can often stutter when switching over and requires a reboot to settle it down. This is not lack of bandwidth related.

We're led to believe a software update is coming to the pucks but no one knows specifically what issues it will tackle.

Re: Sky Puck stuttering

Yep same here. Every day, several times on ALL four pucks!

Oddly enough, if I play Netflix while it's behaving this way, or anything else it plays absolutely fine. It's only the TV streams that are effected.

Re: Sky Puck stuttering

Same here!

Is that a Sonos Arc soundbar? I noticed if I unplug that and just use tv speakers it doesn't happen but that's not ideal!

Re: Sky Puck stuttering

Interesting! Am also using the puck with an Arc and also a Beam in another room - didn't think that would have mattered but I guess that must be it.

Worked perfectly with Sky Q though so they need to sort this out or will be giving up with Glass!

Same here on both pucks when using any app (iplayer 4od etc)

Re: Sky Puck stuttering

Same here. When is a fix going to be issued for this Sky?

Re: Sky Puck stuttering

Yep if not sorted soon as sending Glass back - have had to unplug Arc!

Re: Sky Puck stuttering

I'm not using Arc. Pass through for me.

Re: Sky Puck stuttering

I'm having the same issue & I am using the Sonos Arc.

Also when it does eventually work, the sound switches back to the TV speakers when I switch between the streaming services. It's really annoying

still no solution for this?

Same issues on my system I have drawn Sky's attention to the issue.

Re: Sky Puck stuttering

I have given up and sent everything back - Sky Q again for me!

Felt like a more expensive step backwards with a much more restrictive ecosystem. Issues with Sonos, the pucks instability, losing Disney+ subscription and no recording capability....just not worth it for a TV that is too chunky anyway and losing the dish...

Re: Sky Puck stuttering

I'm afraid there is a lot to be fixed by Sky! To release a new TV  with so many bugs is quickly becoming unacceptable. Lack of information on when they hope to release fixes or apologies to new customers for the serious problems with the system.

Sky should be compensating us for the unreliability.
