Re: Sky Mobile Advert is excessive

I disagree there, completely. If anything the more repetitive an advert etc, the more you avoid the product in question. It is a basic human response, like if you get burned, you avoid hot things,if something cuts you,you avoid sharp things. It's exactly the same with annoyances.

So it's not, quote, 'Job done Thank you.

If it's that much of an annoyance, don't watch it. Watching it because you feel you shouldn't have to avoid it is a bit masochistic! Mountains out of molehills....

Re: Sky Mobile Advert is excessive

@Mark39 You my be very up on computing and other matters of electronic gadgets, but obviously have no grasp of the most most advanced computing item of all,the human brain,or psychology in general,as shown by your lack of using masochism in its correct manner.

However, I wouldn't expect someone who, obviously, thinks of themselves as some sort of Alpha male on here,as evident by trying to shut down my point by using passive aggressive behaviour, because I am a 'New boy on here you immediately try dominating my argument....very interesting!

@Anonymous @Never did understand the phrase 'passive aggressive'. But if you have a psychology qualification, I bow to your superior knowledge. I admit I don't.

@Mark39 It's amazing how many people come on this forum to complain and hate it when someone counters their argument with logic. They only want replies that strengthen their arguments

@Annie+UK So sorry you can't see my point either. Personally, I don't care whether someone disagrees with me,and I'm certainly not here to argue, and neither am I here to canvas support for my original view that this advert is extremely annoying! So please confine yourself to matters that do not concern you. Thanks.

@Anonymous  With respect you posted in a public forum, by it's very nature people will respond regardless of viewpoint.  Telling people to confine themselves to matters that concerns them is an extremely arrogant response.

If you don't want people to respond to your posts, don't post in a public forum.

Excuse me! If I was talking to you I would not of @ Mark "So please confine yourself to matters that do not concern you. Thanks."

All ads are annoying they have been for many decades, most people will have their ways to avoid them, there is absolutely nothing to gain in complaining here as we are just customers. If you want to complain go to the ASA, what use that will do

@GD1 So sorry, I shall retract that comment, and I agree I was rather over reacting.

My sincerest apologies to anyone concerned.

All ads are an irritation in my view. There's no need to watch them. I never do.

If you switched to Virgin Media, you'd have the same Sky Mobile advert.

Still watching TV the old fashioned way? Move into the 2020s and download shows, then you won't have to watch ads, you can fast forward them.

I record most shows so I can bypass the adverts.

On Channel 4, it's the same sort of advert with Coors.
