Phoned sky earlier tried upgrading my sky q box to v3 the person I spoke to said I had to pay £50 right there then but why can't you have the £50 added to your sky bill pay it that way

I phoned in earlier and was told it's not available. Guess I'll have to wait until it appears on my TV

@bjason    You are correct.

                      When you order it they just add £50 to your Sky bill.

                      That is how I paid.

@Val+Dawson  I thought that I was right the sky advisor I spoke to on the phone wanted it there and then I don't think she evebn knew what I was on about she had to keep putting me on hold  I've tried doing it through my box that won't let me

@bjason go into sky q box ,accounts then sky VIP,  you will need your debit card to pay the £50

Got my V2 that I was sent for the HDR upgrade swapped for a new V3 last Sunday. Working well, the odd audio drop out but not that frequent thankfully. No sign of the Q13 firmware yet though

After phoning this morning and being told to wait for email and phone back at 3 if I didn't get one, guess what had to phone back but all sorted now and get the new 2tb box 3 to 5 working days time, only difference was I had to pay the £50 up front as he said it was a offer they were doing which is normally  £99, told him it's always been £50 for the 2tb and £25 for the 1TB,  he had nothing to say to that, long wait but now sorted

@CybrHwk how did you manage to get your v2 upgrade cahnged to a V3. Every time I ring up to complain that I paid £50 for a v2 box the Inidan call centre  check with "sky q people" who advise them I have a HDR box. Their customer service is terrible!!

@russo109  I suppose it depends on what you asked for the V2 works fine with HDR.
