Re: Sky HDR

Yep I was going to amend and say that and it's odd because I've gone back to normal programs and the TV is still showing the same res, however when watching the Lemur program, it did have HDR in brackets as my XBONE does as well

Re: Sky HDR

Re: Sky HDR

So how do you get to quote a post .. is it down to the device etc .. because you read post on here and there is in most cases no way of knowing what a reply is replying to.

Re: Sky HDR

@Paddya

It remains that resolution because that's what your Sky Q box is set to under Audio Visual settings.

Re: Sky HDR

I have SkyQ v1 connected to Panasonic 49FX 700b via HDMI and then HDMI to my Denon avrx1000 so this way I benefit from ultra 4 k and what ever sound normally DD+ coming down for time being

Re: Sky HDR

Have to say I am slightly peeved that being one of the 1st to get skyq 2tb also paying for uhd I am unable to get hdr.

As you never own the box I feel I should get a free upgraded box. How do I go about this?

@best+of+the+best What are you criticising me for putting up with it for 4 years while others have not.. strange way of looking at things, what i should have requested another V1 box that has the same issue.. anyhows if i am offered a V1 i will politely decline .. because that is the sort of person i am.

As i have  no option to quote your post .. thats your interpretation of my intent .. mine is it's a coincidence.

@JOHNGALLEY  Fair comment but what you could have done was requested a V2 box with the external power supply like you mentioned here.

@rozel  I would fall under that .. hands up never entered my mind to ask for a V2/3 box when negotiating my 18 month contract .. i agree that's when you have the leverage now they can tell you to take a hike , until conditions suit Sky.. my Sky box has been running hot and humming in standby the entire duration of ownership .. but now it's got to much for me.

Hi @paulben211   Unfortunately you wait with a million other people 😂. Sky have it in hand and it should appear either in My Sky VIP or Sky.com in the coming months. As I am sure you can imagine the logistics of changing a million boxes is not going to be quick or easy. We can only wait to register.

Re: Sky HDR

@TimmyBGood yeah I will. Its a Pioneer so will check the site. Did an off rotation firmware update but it just overwrote the current. Few things to try still bug not confident

Re: Sky HDR

@best+of+the+best  Yes i should have .. i have enough knowledge of what tech can do what .. and was aware before the HDR  was announced that my box was ify at best that it was HDR compliant.. but i did nothing .. i will just have to suck it up and wait for the roll out .. just hope it comes sooner than later.

@JOHNGALLEY  Re: Quotes. See screenshot below, this is how it looks when I reply on my Chromebook. See the different icons? 7th from the left is the quotes icon, click on that & then reply. I don't know if this is how it appears on other devices.

Re: Sky HDR

What is going to be even more frustrating and disappointing is when a current V2 user who has HDR  encounters box problems and the Sky engineer arrives and only has refurb V1 boxes on the van to use  for box swaps
