Re: Sky HDR

Only way to deal with them is by canceling...They promised me fast broadband in january just to make sure i dont cancel it..BT now offers me 900Mbps and they offer 63 for basically same money...had to cancel as theres no other way to be treated like a human being by them..

Re: Sky HDR

Well for me I'm one paying top whack for all of sky that really isn't acceptable when new customers will get the new HDR boxes while there long time loyal customers get the rough end of the stick again as normal with sky shambles of a service from sky if your new they give you the best deals if your an old long term customer you get zip from them

Re: SKYQ HDR How do I get a new 2TB Box

@Garry+Redknap  have you not read the statement from Sky a few posts above yours? If you feign a broken box it will be replaced with a like for like i.e. a V1 will be replaced with a V1.

Re: Sky HDR

No-one should have to pay extra for HDR! I don't with Netflix and I don't expect to with Sky.

I'm jealous of all those early adopters of SkyQ. I wish I had got it when it first came out but wife would not have it. So, you had a head start over me. The whole SkyQ thing compared to the old SkyHD is amazing. A world of difference.

We are only talking about 20 hours of nature programmes here, let's not get too upset. I'm sure Sky will sort it in time.

Re: Upgrade old Sky Q 2TB to new version for HDR

Hi,

same position here, I to have one of the olders boxes which do not support HDR (32B0xx)...as an early adopter of the Q service, now being advised box is not compatatble. Certainly most of the early adopters with these boxes took up service based on quality and the HDR update is the next step in Sky's process to delivery a quality picture, but seemed to have disregarded a section of their customers. I would of anticipated at best a level of recourse alreday in place, to resolve this for those with incomapatible boxes, rather than a lets wait and see attitude.

Agree 100% sky always do this leave old customers behind & offer the best deals to new customers only this should've all been in place & ready with more compatible boxes ready to go for long time loyal customers

"sky always do this leave old customers behind & offer the best deals to new customers only "

Isn't that true of every company not just Sky?  lol

Re: Sky HDR

@Rhonny  AS you seem to be ok with the present situation.. what box have you got if a V1 then you have a point.. otherwise, you are just being a Sky Fanboy .. unless you have to sign a contract 365 days of the year why would HDR even be in a contract as it started today.

So do you reckon if i was out of contract with Sky as of today and i said i will be leaving unless you replace my V1 box with a newer version compatible with HDR/HLG they would say no .. that box would be here ASAP.

With sky being one of the worst with complaints from customers

Re: Upgrade old Sky Q 2TB to new version for HDR

It is but we don't own the boxes anymore so if your paying for a premium service and that service is upgraded then the equipment you are renting should also be upgraded.

Re: Sky HDR

exactly my point to keep you as a sky customer there be a compatible box shipped out the same day or even enginer booked

Re: Upgrade old Sky Q 2TB to new version for HDR

Unfortunately this update has been poorly rolled out to a section of their early Sky Q customers, asssuming Sky saw as fair game. In reality these are the same people who would normally uptake new services. Fundamental mistake, all they will do is lose a section of their community, going forward.

Re: Sky HDR

@piotrch If i was in a position to do so i would but i have 12 months of my contract to run.. I am OK with no HDR as long as it's the same for all.
