Re: Sky HDR

@Maverick1975 This. Ten times over.

Ways in which Sky could have handled this;

  • Postpone roll out until they could support it
  • Email/letter to all customers unable to benefit from this new service with clear info on what they are doing to resolve matters
  • No need to burden call centre staff. A simple webpage/form to register complaint/interest which then logs your enquiry and adds your name to a waitlist

I could go on.

Or,

Have a very low key rollout with a small number of programmes, which won't generate many contacts from customers , but a manageable amount and enables them to test both the replacement process and iron out issues in the content delivery process.

Customers  would use the webpage/form, then call anyway  if it wasn't sorted straightaway - it happened a lot with the Sky Sports pause.

I'm sure that before they increase the HDR library much beyond this small amount, they'll have a replacement process up and running.

Re: Sky HDR

@rscott Is there a way to get a new Sky Q box. Even paid for? Contacting Sky seems impossible and there are no links I can see to order one.

No way of requesting one specifically because you want HDR support yet  - as per previous posts, that process isn't up and running yet.

As you've found, Sky's call centres aren't at full strength yet, so they wouldn't be able to cope with a large number of v1 customers contacting them for ugprades.  But if your box developed a fault , I'm sure you'd eventually be able to get through to request a replacement.

@Duffy502 are saying you are seeing Netflix in HDR via  a Sky box - if so which show? Certainly just tried 2 or 3 and it is all in SDR.
