Sky Broadband

Hi, some time ago I transferred to Sky from Virgin Media for TV services. I stayed with Virgin for Broadband. Is it worth my while to transfer this to sky in terms of cost, speed and reliability? Thanks in advance !!

@Stu+from+Wigan  Cost maybe, speed, depends on what speeds you currently get with VM and what speeds you would get on the Openreach network.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

What exactly did it say ?

How long have you been with virgin for?

Might just be that there hasn't (or isn't) an openreach line in for a while.

But its hard to advise with out knowing what may be at the property

Have you checked openreach or sky websites directly

@cookiemonsteruk

It just said 'address not found'

I've been with Virgin broadband for years , maybe  16-18 years. I will check direct on the websites you mention in the morning.

Thanks for your advice !!

@Stu+from+Wigan

Once a property is served from the Openreach network, only FTTP can match the higher tiers of Virgin Media speed: FTTC tops out at 80Mbs and is then reduced by distance from the fibre cabinet.

Sky Glass 55" (on ethernet) & two Stream Pucks (one ethernet / one WiFi)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
