SKY Glass Issues

Hi new to this sort of thing,

 

This is day 2 ove ownership of sky glass and here are the issues that are frustrating me and having me think i have made the wrong move, and want to give it back

 

1. Set my sky glass tv up in main room at the moment very little issue, had to change some setting but thats just personal preference, i do think the picture quality is a bit wishy washy.

2. I have a small samsung tv in the kitchen, disconnected my sky q box and set up my sky puck, paired the remote, and for the last 2 days once turned on it works fine for about 20mins then starts to freeze, then black screen, then tells me there is a technical fault, then says there is no Wi-Fi connection, but my main sky glass tv is working fine and no issue with my Wi-Fi. This is frustrating the hell out of me as i do spend a lot of time in the kitchen during the day and not being able to watch tv, i am on the brink of sending it back after just 2 days even tho i have 31 days grace, i cannot watch a tv that keeps stopping or going blank.

No updates as of yet?  

 

Also find the picture is quite poor when off centre on the other couch - somehting that the 42" ordinary LCD LG tv didnt suffer from.

I have the same issues in that my Sky Glass tv is working but after 1 day my 2 pucks seem to have packed up! One was working them said there was no wifi and then just never boots up past the black screen. The other puck worked for a bit and then just came up with the error that this channel has a technical fault - for every channel or function! 
I have moved to a house where the dish will not work so Glass was my only option to stay with Sky. If these ruddy picks don't get fixed soon I will have to leave Sky as the Glass experience is terrible so far.

The puck issue seems to be quite common and I would guess Sky are aware of it and will provide an update. When Sky Q was first a thing, the minis were a nightmare for dropping connection.

 

Don't forget, you have 31 days to return the product, so maybe see it out for a bit longer and see if Sky resolve the issues from their end in that time.

HAd mine for 5 days now the main tv seems to be working fine but my sky puck only worked for 1 day, wont do anything now so my tv in the kitchen is useless at the moment. Rung sky eventually after about 4hrs one day they could. Not do anything, second day rung again to speak to a tier 2 tech, did not speak to them but the person i was speaking to spoke. To them and i was told I would need a new remote, and because i had rung before 12 mid day i would receive this the same day fantastic i thought but alas it did not arrive. Rung again the following day and was told they don't do same day deliveries, the normally take 3 to 5 working days. I think it might be coming today. But i think i have already made up my mind to return the system and go back to my sky Q

One of mypucks stopped working completely and spoke to a tier 2 Sky person. They approved the sending out of a new puck and remote. This arrived the next day and works. So far. They do have to charge you £50 to do this but then refund you straight after.

 

Still getting a lot of skips and things watching TV, so I hope they make that work better soon.

I have received a mail saying my new remote will be delivered today, i was also told they would only be sending me a new remote free of charge, so don't know what's happening. So if they send a new puck & remote and charge me then everything they said to me on the phone calls is a total pack of lies, then i will have no respect or confidence in sky at all and a 23yr relationship will be ended

I hope your newremote works. If it doesn't then you may have to insist they send a new puck. It does sound shoddy customer service you've had there.

Hi

 

My new remote came Saturday afternoon tried it Sunday morning and as suspected it does not work on the stream puck. So no more messing about i will be ringing sky next week to arrange a return of the equipment and revert back to my sky Q subscription with discounts that i had before swapping to sky glass. I was a bit surprised that they sent me a new remote as i already have 2 and neither of them worked with the puck but both work the main sky Glass tv, that tells me it has to be something other than the remote, but who am I I'm not a sky tech

I'm on day 2 and so far ok but today my partner couldn't turn the TV on, the home button didn't work nor did saying hello sky, in the end he had to pull the plug out and put it back in, also the motion sensor doesn't work

So many issues with this new system, i know everything new will have teething issues but this has far to many, and I don't think it is entirely ready for the market yet should have done more testing or at least have some people try it out for a month or so so all the issues could be resolved before selling to the masses
