SKY GO,SKY SPORTS NEWS sound/pic out of sync

Hi i have sky go on my PC sometimes when starting up sky sports news i get the sound of an add before pic appears which puts the channel out of sync with its pic/sound,sometimes closing and starting again fixs it had this for ages its got worse lately,,,other channels are ok

Uninstall the Sky Go app and then go to 'C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming (ensure hidden files/folders are visible) and delete the following folders:

Sky
Sky Go

And if it is present the Cisco folder is App\Data\LocalLow.
Empty your recycle bin.

Reboot your PC and then download and install the Sky Go app again.

If that doesn't work on a PC it is possible to watch the sports channels via the desktop app instead, so select a channel from here and install the desktop app when asked to:

I've had the same problem for several days, tried the above, makes no difference. 

Only affecting Sky Sports News as far as I can tell.

I have exactly the same problem, but only when wathcing sky news.  For other channels, including sports and sports news, its fine. 

The delay is quite big - probably about 10-15 seconds.

I can't believe this is still the case. "Workday" ad is played for 10 seconds which makes the video stream 10 seconds ahead of sound.

Ridiculous. Only on Sky F1 for me.

I'm furious. I'll be out with no access to telly and i won't be able to watch the Grand Prix, because of "Worskday". That makes me hate "Workday" as well which is counter effective for an ad.

Completely agree with @@Marcin-UK I feel like the delay is caused by the audio pausing to tell me about how workday is sponsoring F1 on sky then simply starts the audio from the point the video started after the workday promo audio has ended. So I guess if I ever have the option to use workday I will go elsewhere 🤷‍♂️

Absolute disgrace this, pay a fortune for a subsctiption and get this absurd sync failure; been since the most recent "update" for me, really needs to be sorted . My contract is up in two months and I'm binning it, should be getting a refund on the pitiful service I'm getting now,

Couldnt agree more with the other posters today.

Sky F1 on SkyGo having an audio sync issue caused by sloppy paid advertising implementation on an expensive subscription is an absolute joke.

Exactly the same issue with me! WORKDAY advert plays first and then the sound is about 10s out of sync. Has anyone found a fix for this yet?

My subscription doesn't include main event so not an option.

Just in general Sky Go is dreadful, takes an age to load, endless "updates" which achieve what exactly? Nothing.

In comparison to Netflix (for example) a pitiful service.

The same issue for me.

Away from home this weekend, so I'm watching the F1 coverage from Miami on my laptop.

Whilst watching both the Qualifying and now the build up for the GP I have started the playback and as soon as the picture comes onto my screen I hear the audio for an advert for Workday, this delays the correct audio for the pictures.  I've seen delays of 8 - 10 seconds.

I wouldn't mind if we were made to watch the Workday add before the main video started.

I've only noticed this issue on SkyF1.  This thread would seem to show that this has been an ongoing issue for a while now.  Why is this so hard to fix?
