Due to issues with sky equipment twice we have lost all previously recorded episodes featuring special movie episodes, now available for us to pay to watch!! See ms unfair and unrealistic that only'store' items are saved to hard drive, seems to me that sky should address this issue as now completely unable to download again. Very poor!

If you record from the TV Guide, movies aren't deleted from your Planner, except when your disk is full and space is required for new recordings.
If you download from On Demand, the recording is kept on your hard disk for the length of time permitted by the rights owner - generally the recording film studio for movies. Similarly the movie is available to download for as long as agreed with the rights owner.
If you rent from the Sky Store, you 7 days to start watching. Once you've started watching you generally have two days to finish.
If you Buy and Keep, you purchase the right to keep the movie for as long as you wish.
It's all down to the license agreed by the rights owner with Sky.
