Have had a 2tb box since launch or thereabouts.
it has been hinky on and off for a couple of years - having to reset every week etc. - variously unresponsive and sluggish on occasions.
it now has developed a stranger fault - when I change channel the screen goes black. The only way to get the channel I am seeking is to turn the box off via remote and on again. Then the new channel pops up.
I phoned sky to request a replacement box, but they were taking me through the whole full reset routine and I didn't want to bin everything at that stage, but appreciate a new box will have the same effect.
does it sound like hard drive failure to anyone?
