The sky help pages have at least ben updated to explain what the new 'improvements' mean, and how they work.

OK cup of coffee, clear head
- Play Now used to house anything new you added to your playlist, that's gone.
- Any new added series, films etc. Now go into playlist only, even if available they do not appear on continue watching
- Continue watching is as it says on the tin, anything you've started watching appears here.
- I assume that once you've started watching a series then new available episodes will also pop in continue watching
It's not a backward step if anything it should keep you're continue watching rail clean as only what you've started will appear here and anything not viewed that was on your play now is just separated out to your playlist, that is a positive.
However, no easy remove option from continue watching. You still have to scroll through loads of series and episodes etc. To find what you want.
This update has also reset all your viewing to the start, big mistake sky, messy!
Nothing outstanding here a faff change to the menu that's brought further frustration to a bug laden playlist with nothing to say WOW!

Yes, thankfully sky have supplied the points you have stated in their help document.
Its certainly just a change in use for playlist!
No control over Continue watching is a failure.
My viewing hasnt been reset, my play now rail just became continue watching with the episodes part watched or up next to watch.
I am not looking forward to the members of my family that are of a certain age who have only recently got to grips with Play now and playlist. I expect an evening of 'What have Sky done to my TV?' calls. 🤦🏼♂️

My continue watching was empty and episodes sat in play now ready to watch did not populate.
Goodness knows what will happen when a new episode becomes available.
After getting to grips with play now it's back to the start. Sky can't have updates as messy as this customers will give up!

Continue watching my **bleep**....it still doesn't sync across all devices.I tried a sky crime show on my glass in the living room,stopped about 20 minutes in and tried on the puck in the kitchen,yes it was at the start of the continue watching rail but when I went to watch it the damm thing started from the start again.
All this hype and all they have seemed to do was change the name of play now to continue watching and move the playlist section
@KevNewMedia should continue watching not be synced across all devices?????

And this 'refresh' has STILL not removed Death In Paradise for me - the series hasn't added, there are no unwatched episodes in 'Continue Watching' or whatever 'Play Now' is now called - yet the series remains there!
I tried added and removing the series again and sadly it remains!

Even though Netflix show added and marked as added it is not in my Playlist.!
Started to watch Masterchef stopped 15 mins in, not in continue watching!
Started to watch Bangers and Cash - 10 mins in, not in continue watching!
This seems very much like another botched release by the Glass team.
Don't they fully test before making these changes? All they have done is make a dodgy Play Now/Playlist feature totally unusable.
I'm sick of this when we are paying each month its not acceptable 🤬

All they've done is add playlist to the menu bar, removed play now and added continue watching which is worse than play now, yeah they have managed to achieve that!!!
Oh and generally screwed the whole thing up. Half **bleep** measures extremely badly implemented.

Less than a week with Sky Stream and I must admit, not in a million years I would have expected the company to be so awful and obsolete when it comes to software and features based on the price tag. How can they charge over £50 per month and not be better than leading streaming services, if not at least on the same level.
Clearly they just count on a target audience of boomers who are not aware of the standard features a premium TV platform should have nowadays, starting from the ABSOLUTELY SHAMEFUL AND UNACCEPTABLE absence of subtitles on all UHD content (still didn't get over the shock of finding that out)

The interesting thing is that all reference to cross device syncing has been removed from the help pages on sky.com. Very strange.

Isn't it illegal to cancel a feature that was previously promised upon subscription?
