And to add to the confusion, All 4 on my phone has the missing episodes, so why are we getting All 4 lite on Glass and not the full experience?

Presumably whatever process the Glass TV ecosystem uses to discover new episodes on All4 isn't working properly. Others have mentioned similar problems. What we don't know is who is responsible for that "discovery" process, ch4 or Sky.

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

Your probably right, @tarbat , but this discovery process need to be monitored and actioned on rapidly if cloud recordings aren't available for some channels, and there needs to be a clear process for escalating this if the process isn't working, like now.

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

@FMUK Thanks for confirming, I was hoping it would say that! This suggests that "Watch from start" functionality on Glass implemented as a Cloud Recording and it appears to to remain viewable which is good. This could be a useful workaround for Glass users.. Please could you try some tests on content on other FTA channels as well? Thanks!

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

Bit odd about the All 4 missing episodes, my wife watches that awful Married at first sight, and earlier this week when we got Glass I added the programme and all episodes are there.  On a separate note, the 'how it works' guide above was very helpful, we're were selecting the programme on the playlist on the home page, the app or series was listed then we had to work out which episode we had watched.  We hadn't realised that 'centre stage' existed, now we do it shows the next episode to watch.

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

So, battling on. Usual 5am wake up, sneak into lounge. Then the call. Cannot find programme. Back into bedroom to the wife and luck. She's right, no playlist or play now. Verdict, she hates the menu. Sentence return TV.

Please do something quick.

My preference would be a menu with guide and recent unwatched playlist additions as selected from guide. Nothing else except a way to get to more exciting menus for those in need.

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

@Anonymous very odd, yet they are there on the All4 app on my phone.  There must be some sort of synchronisation that need to happen, yet quite how that happens who knows?

It's conceivable that the app on Glass launches the  app from a distributed app farm and an instance in there hasn't updated correctly so is showing old data, but unless this is monitored we also need a way to report it directly.

It's all odd. Haven't found a way to edit the post. Luck should be puck.

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

So here's a scenario  I am unhappy with. We were watching Warcraft on Film4 last night but it's long, so we went to bed intending to finish watching today. I had added to playlist but this morning it's only a bookmark for future showings. It's not available on any on demand hubs.

Previously with SkyQ I would've had the recording to return to as and when I liked.

The issue is that Sky Glass is marketed as 'Sky inside'. To me, 'Sky' represents full and unfettered ability to record and play back any broadcast content.

So why did you give up the "full and unfettered ability to record and play back any broadcast content" of Sky Q or Sky+HD for the big unknown of Sky Glass?  Sky Glass can't even receive broadcasts, let alone record them!  Sky Glass was clearly marketed as a streaming TV, not one that receives broadcast TV in the traditional sense.

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

The marketing I saw positioned it as a Sky inside a TV with the ability to record. Based on my experiences of SkyQ, why wouldn't I believe I was essentially getting the same, inside a TV, delivered over broadband?

There were no caveats. No asterisks telling me that some things wouldn't record.

We'll stick with it, but it's incredibly jarring to not be able to finish watching a programme that you were part way through.

Due to Sky's "infinite wisdom" you can't edit until you get to level 3.

Once you do click the 3 dots top right on your reply and then the double quotation marks.

Intriguingly, just checked the playlist, and all this mornings episodes of 'Murder, She Wrote' are recorded and available to play.

Seems VERY coincidental that it wasn't 'recording' for multiple days, and then the very instant I 'watch from start' when its on live, I've magically got a recording and all future episodes also record!! 🤔

If I remember, I'll add Frasier, and then watch live and click 'watch from start' during play when it next airs on Monday morning, and see what happens to that and subsequent episodes.

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

Some more play list oddities from Glass.

The British on Sky Atlantic will not let me play S1:E1 yet other episodes are available and play fine, while when selecting On This Week is showing for Sky Atlantic HD but missing episodes 2 and 3.

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

@Joe-Bow Sounds like a data issue, which are not too uncommon. I'm sure Sky will fix that one soon

Re: Playlist FAQ / Q&A

You're probably right, @sceptic101 , however in an ecosystem like Glass where everything is streamed it's so important to have this fixed ASAP, and a mechanism to report missing episodes which I think Sky should,  and need to be, hot on.
