Strictly come dancing results is added to our Playlist, but isn't showing an hour after the show has finished. It's not available on iPlayer either. This is happening with the most popular programmes.
Playlist doesn't work the way it was advertised before Sky Glass was launched.
Do you know when this issue be resolved?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Chocolate+Granny If it doesn't show in the respective app you have zero chance of it showing in playlist sadly.
That's how the playlist works.

Having problems with adding programs from Channel 4 to my Playlist. New series of 24 hours in A&E started last Thursday (Series 25) and was added to my Playlist before it aired. Currently unable to view through the All 4 App on Glass as its not showing as available. Episode 2 is showing as being available this Thursday. Episode 1 of the new series is available on the App on my phone but not on Glass?. Also added 999 What's Your Emergency to my Playlist over the weekend. Program aired on More 4 on Sunday and can't yet view through Glass (Series 8 episode 3). It isn't available on the All 4 App yet either. Getting frustrated at the length of time between a program being aired (particularly on Channel 4 and the like) and being able to view it through the Playlist. Using the above example for 24 hours in A&E - program aired on Thursday last week and still can't view it through the Playlist 4 days later!!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@WG+Wright Even when an episode becomes available in all4 and is in playlist, I'm finding the playlist just doesn't pick this up and offer the play now link.
Playlist and all4 seems totally broken from my experience, even itv is starting to show similar issues.
I really don't know what sky are doing to rectify this issue! - and how quickly they plan to have playlist working as advertised per the initial post that started this thread originally.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@WG+Wright All4 and C4 content in Glass and the Playlist is an abject shambles.
Another reply from Viewer Relations today shows C4 are still boringly sticking behind the now pathetic Red Bee excuse, and seemingly prioritising older content over newer content, sticking 2 fingers up in the direction of Sky at the same time.
I again told them they were being played for fools by C4 as they seem to have no issue making the content available to the All4 app.
Viewer Realtions isn't really offering anything with Sky Glass. IMHO, I'm seeing a department that isn't fit to take on the new streaming and ondemand content that Glass is all about. It's entrenched in the satellite world, and that's due to the fact of what Sky offered, but they need to fix up now, stop being played by C4, and quickly address this nonsense that is causing customers grief, while they're looking toothless and spineless in the face of it.
The commercial contract with C4 clearly has no penalty enforcement for a shambles like this, hence Sky have absolutely no leverage over C4 here, a damning indictment on the competence of whomever was responsible for the commercial agreement here.
And all the while we customers have to put up with a substandard service.
It's utterly worrrying from Sky to be as pathetic and spineless as they have been with C4 about this, and tellingly they are totally powerless to do anything about it.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Joe-Bow @Not only are VR relying on the red bee excuse but they responded to me and said I should watch via the app on my smartphone, so they are realising they can't do anything to help customers!

I have noticed the same about programs on C4. Whenever I miss Gogglebox, I no longer bother with my Playlist; I just use the All 4 app from Glass and it's all up to date whereas the playlist is 2/3 episodes behind.
Still this is not as painful as one of my pucks never seeming to work at the initial attempt forcing me to restart it 2/3 times unlike the other puck. But this is a little rant for another thread!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Jayboy1990 It's not good enough. Even the executive team, who have been excellent so far, can't get them to respond to me in a timely fashion, so you've got to wonder what the hell is going on over there.

Thank you, that's good to know. That's just not how the playlist was advertised.
06 Dec 2021 05:50 PM
@Jayboy1990 I totally agree. The time between programs being aired and then being able to be viewed is totally unacceptable. I naively thought that if there was a delay then the program would be "recorded" and therefore able to be viewed immediately and that it would stay as "recorded" until it was automatically view via the All 4 app. Obviously this isn't the case but may e Sky could introduce this until Channel 4 get their act together with regards to the All 4 App?
06 Dec 2021 05:55 PM
@Joe-Bow Couldn't agree more. Makes you wonder what sort of contract Sky have with Channel 4?. Maybe they should just scrap it and the All 4 App and go back to using "recording" just like you can do with Channel 5 programs (even though there is a My 5 App that isn't used on Glass). Ditch the All 4 App?
06 Dec 2021 05:55 PM
Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSky appear powerless to introduce any kind of emergency system whilst waiting for all4 to get their act together.
I say this because if they could then they would have done so by now.
It would be amazing if sky had an agreement to offer cloud recording for all content and becomes overridden once the app and playlist have communicated and picked up that it's available to play from the apps. - this however I believe would cost sky a fortune whether in rights to the broadcaster or on the backend for servers etc.
This thread has been abandoned by sky unless somebody can guide me to a post that suggests otherwise. 🤷🏼♂️

@Jayboy1990 @Joe-Bow So VR are saying "we know you've bought a brand new super Sky Glass TV but the best way to watch programs is through an App on your smartphone" unbelievable!!!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@WG+Wright Yes I have an email response that says exactly to use my iPhone and the all4 app!
Im so **bleep** by this approach!
