Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

@Q-tips @Just watched those bits on my sky box and it does exactly the same as yours.

It seems its just the Sky go app that doesn't deal with the breakup so just freezes.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

Hi all

Although  not all mini boxes upgraded to Q170 I moved the mini that didnt upgrade to my most problem mini I have watched a lot of recording and had no pixelation. The mini box that wouldn't upgrade has been replaced came today so will see if it upgrades tonight. Because I emailed the CEO Jerry of BSkyB I have my own complaints manager who ring me at intervals to see how things are progressing.  I have had my multi room refunded and will continue to ask for that until fixed.  I have told my complaints manager that they need to look at the forum to see how many people are having same problems.

What a waste of money for sky had 7 engineering visit all devices replaced and now mini box.

I will keep you all informed of my progress.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

If these glitches are from the source, I don't understand why Sky allow them to be transmitted without some kind of on-screen apology. There's no point in hundreds/thousands of customers wasting time troubleshooting if the problem can't be fixed locally or by Sky.

And yet there are enough people posting in this forum to say that they get no glitches at all (on any channels) so somehow they aren't being affected by Ch4's issues.

I'm also seeing the same glitches across all the channels I watch so how is a customer able to tell which corruption is caused by the content originator  and which is caused by local/Sky issues

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

Updated both main & mini box to 170 earlier. Currently watching Bournemouth v QPR live on sky sports main event.. and getting pauses and pixelation! so this update hasn't fixed the problem.

The future of TV... yeah..like sky fibre is "ultra" fast! Absolute shambles.

*edit*

Should've made it clear, this was watching on the mini box.

Going to unplug the router before I go to work in the morning..and plug it back in before I go to work 😉 see how things go later on.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

Hi

All boxes upgraded to Q170 watching mini box I have all the problems on have not seen any pixelation or other glitches so far.  It did take a little time for network and mesh to reconnect and  stabilise after manually upgrading  new mini box  replacement. Watch this space !!

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

I had a problem with pixalation on my mini boxes upstairs, this problem was mainly when I was watching recorded programmes on Itv hd.  Since the Q170 upgrade I have not had any problems at all. Fingers crossed but for me the latest software seems to have solved the problem.

Ant1328

I would agree not  seen any pixelation since Q170 update.  Hopefully fixed if they had admitted it was a software problem they could have save a lot of time and wasted visits.

I've been watching the Ryder Cup on Sky Sports Golf for the past 5 hours and I've never seen pixellation like it - lengthy video corruption approx every 10 minutes. I was watching the Ryder Cup yesterday and didn't notice any pixellation so **bleep** is going on??? Nothing has changed here. I got the Q170 upgrade a couple of days ago and all seemed fine unti today. I rebooted my box but to no avail.

The Ryder Cup is what first got me to subscribe to Sky years ago and now they're ruining it - without a word of explanation or apology.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

Wish I could say the same, I thought it had been resolved until it did it a couple of times last night on channel four Hd than in sky sports today multiple times

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

I've been watching the Ryder Cup today on my main box, occasional pixalation and sound drop outs! My mini box is now fixed but it appears my main box now has this!
