Yep.

I haven't checked the updates (?) but tonight (for the first time), the same regular pixelation is now present on the main box too.
Primarily recorded programme but also live TV.

**bleep** is going on ?

10 months on and it's getting worse.

Its a JOKE. 🤬

@SKY - do something !!!!

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

I had the same issue with recordings pixalating on my mini box, ITV HD was the main problem.

I've now had the Q170 update.  I've only watched 1 programme from ITV on it so far but no pixalation. Let's hope this update has solved my problem.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

For those experiencing pixelation over the last few days, remember there have been some storms over the country which could have been affecting the signal.

My main box was pixelating yesterday and that was before the 170 update.

Since it updated over night all of the programmes I have on my planner that normally pixelate are playing fine so fingers crossed its finally fixed!

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

Did the software update on the main & mini box yesterday evening. Both said "software downloaded, update will complete next time box goes into standby mode" checked this morning, both still on 1.60..👌 worked like a charm!

Suppose I'll have to wait until I'm deemed worthy 😅

Watching Gogglebox and it's freezing with sound dropouts on live TV.

this is beyond a joke now!

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

Anyone getting pixelation and audio dropouts on SAS Who Dares Wins tonight?

Only seems to be affecting Channel 4 for me.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

I just watched my recording of the Ch4 SAS programme and it was badly infested with video and audio glitches - including the commercials and the promo trailers (see two examples below). Does everything come via the Ch4 transponder, including the ads and the promos? I do have similar issues on both live and recorded programmes across all the channels I watch but this SAS programme was worse than most.

--------------------
32B12C 2TB UHD Q box • Mini boxes x2 (32D0B2) • 2022 LG C2 OLED TV • Software vQ230.000.14.00L • Gigaclear gigabit FTTH broadband (935Mbps up/down) • Linksys Velop tri-band router; 3 mesh nodes • All Q boxes fully Cat6 hardwired • Q wi-fi disabled • Q picture/audio processing disabled (no sound bar) • Pixellation cured by Q170 but back again with Q190 and now every few minutes with Q210 and Q220 live broadcasts and recordings on all boxes

Yes, CH4 are responsible for all the content that is uplinked via Satellite, including ads, there are numerous posts regarding pixellation on Ch4.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

So would that mean that all viewers saw the same glitches at the same time? (If my 7MB video ever displays, it shows a couple of sample glitches at 50m into the recording and it would be interesting to know if these same glitches were seen by others.)

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

@Q-tips I can only access the recording via Sky Go at the moment but interestingly it freezes at the exact point the dog starts to spin on its hind legs - exactly where the breakup occurs in your video.

It won't play past that point unless I FF a few seconds.

What about the Subway ad which follows on in my video but is actually a couple of minutes later in the commercial break?

We need to understand why mine plays on through these glitches but yours freezes. Could it be that the incoming feed hasn't been sufficiently compressed at source which causes different receivers to react differently depending on the bitrate their LAN (or SkyQ box) can support? FWIW, my system is gigabit fibre to the property which is distributed to my Sky Q boxes via ethernet, with plenty of bandwidth/bitrate to spare since the boxes max out their network port at 100Mbps. Main box is 2TB UHD.

And since my Ch4 commercials suffer more glitches than the programmes, could it be that Ch4 increase the size/quality of the ad feed?

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

I got the identical pixelisation on SAS Who dares wins as in that video on a SKY HD box.

Looks like a secondary Channel 4 issue complicating matters amongst your other Sky Q isssues.

I wonder what they're doing to fix it?

And I wonder why it impacts different SkyQ systems in different ways...
