By all accounts, it is fixed on Minis by software v160 which has just started to be rolled out. Yours will come within a week or few.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

Had the Q160 update for over a week now but I'm still getting the pixelation issue on the mini boxes so it's obviously not the fix we all hoped for.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

Same here.

Q160 installed on both boxes and pixelating as bad (if not worse) than ever.

😠

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

@Kei+M so seems like Q16 hasn't fixed pixelating on mini's can you update on this?

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

Pixellation on mini boxes is not a software issue, it can only be an interference issue. It'll be people's mini boxes being too far from their main box, or Sky's 5ghz mesh clashing with their home wifi, or something similar.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

Well my mini boxes were fine for 4 years until the update for Prime was installed on the main box in December and nothing has changed on my home setup so it must be a software issue.

Same here, never had a problem before that.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

@Rhonny this is not a problem with set ups @Kei+M admitted himself that they were aware and a fix was coming with Q160.

If this was a set up issue then why does live tv work perfectly fine and it's only recordings/downloads that pixelate from certain channels and not all of them?

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

Rhonny

My pixelation was definitely related to software or firmware, worked fine up to November or December.

My network has been tested and mesh is perfect definitely not network. Why only pixelation on recorded material if network.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

It most definitely is not a WiFi or interference issue. My setup is wired with cat 5e Ethernet cable from the main box to the router and from there to the mini. Up until November everything was perfect. Then we had an update and now it is terrible. Please do not accept the argument that it is a set up issue because it isn't. I am not using the mesh WiFi at all but I have terrible pixelation, but only on recordings, not on the same programs when viewed live. It's software.

come on Sky

please fix this

Same boat except I also see pixelation on some live programmes. Q160 is touted to fix this in both live and recorded programmes although a couple of posters in the long audio dropout thread are now reporting that it hasn't worked for their video glitches.

FWIW, my pixelation events are now much less frequent than they were since I permanently deleted a load of old recordings leaving my 2TB HD only 10% full - and then power cycled my main box and Minis.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

@Q-tips Sorry going to sound stupid now but whats power cycling the main box? And how do you do this if its worked for you. My mini boxs stil playing up on recordings 😡 not just pixelating now not rewinding or fast foward properly and seems to get stuck!

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box

Just press Standby on the remote and then unplug the box at the wall. Wait 30secs and plug it back in.
