Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
@Anonymous @lukedaniel17
You are able to switch off the 5 GHz network on the mini, to. If you turn off the 5 GHz network on the mini, and you lose the picture then it is connected to the main box over the 2.4 GHz network.
Not sure if doing this would affect a wired connection, too?
Hopefully now we've had confirmation sky are looking it can be rectified.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
@WILLIAMSRENAULT @Anonymous
I only turned off 2.4 and 5hz on one mine box because it is hard wired outside by a sky engineer to stop it trying to connect wirelessly and confusing the mesh setup I have left the other mini's alone with both wifi channels left on

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
I was watching 'I Am A Killer' on Netflix today on my Mini and that was breaking up on transitions between the scenes. Very similar to the issue I get when watching recordings.
Season 2 Episode 3 in particular.
I also tested on my main box and it does the same.
If anyone else has Netflix can you take a quick look?
It definitely looks like a bitrate issue as this would normally drop at transitions.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
@Anthonyh1976 I have just watched the first 6 minutes of that episode on Netflix via my TVs app and that was fine . I then watched the same 6 mins on Netflix via Sky mini box - no issue seen at all. Played back perfectly

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
Hi
I watched live football on mini box perfect for 3 hours. Started watching recordings pixilation lots of times.
If it was a network problem I would have though the live stream would pixelate too.

Re: Pixelation on recordings mini box
I'm getting the same recordings pixelation on my minibox since early December. I've been reporting it on another thread mentioned back in page 3 of this thread.
I've done the Help Centre, had the engineer out who said all tests were fine so replaced my Router, Main Box V3 and MiniBox. Made absolutely no difference except I now get intermittent sound dropouts on the main box. The previous main box was a V2 and I didn't get that particular issue.
I agree, the Soaps, Corrie and Emmerdale, are amongst the worst offenders for pixelation. @Kei+M thanks for picking up this issue. I'm also happy to assist in Demonstrating/Testing the defect with your team to speed progress. Just ask!
