I agree like most mine was fine not changed anything boxes are new replaced still problem good WiFi even a few have said they have the booster and still not fixed i do hope they see and fix it soon lastnight was crazy drove me made trying to watch a rec on mini.

Seems odd how we've all got connectivity problems that all started at the same time and are causing the same issue.

 

There was a broadband issue around Christmas that affected a lot of people, could this be connected I wonder?

It's very hard to understand how it can be connectivity when everything is connected via gigabit Ethernet, and as we all say, live TV is fine.

this is clearly a software issue that has manifested with a recent update. Presumably it can be undone in the same way.

I'm about to phone them again about my mobile as I've been left with an outgoing phone only after moving my number.

 

Not expecting any progress as last phone call I had to tell the adviser what to do and trying to get them to log it as a split port is impossible

I thought I would give sky tec a call the guy said I was the first to mention it to him but there was a help guide that he went though first he said turn the mini box off and back on but that could be 20 mins before I notice any issues as its not constant. He said to keep eye if this did not work do a software update there are 2 ways he said that some times the updates don't always take even if you have the latest ok then next he said del all recording doing a HDD wipe. I have read most people doing that evening new boxes I'm not sure if anything will work as read many doing this but I will try over next few days and report back with findings etc.

I am running the latest software on all my boxes (which are brand new as Sky only replaced them on the Saturday just done. That won't address the issue IMO.  I'm 99% sure the last software update in December that added Amazon prime support has broken something given everything had been 100% fine prior to that for years...

@Anonymous  Looks like you got the big standard scripted response then.

 

I wouldn't bother deleting your recordings- that's just another unnecessary annoyance that won't make the slightest bit of difference.

On my mini it does say that it has network issues in the settings, but when you go in to look what the issue is, there are no issues, it is connected and shows the correct IP etc.

We are having the pixelation issue on our SkyQ main box. I happens intermittently and lasts for a few seconds, goes and then comes back again.

It seems to be happening on recordings rather than live TV.

All software is up to date which, reading all the other comments, might be the reason for the pixellation.

We have same issue - started a few weeks ago - pixelates for a few seconds (live tv or recordings) - on main and mini boxes - ours was all hard wired in July and has been fab since then ... but now this! Not connectivity problem for sure as hapoens with hard-wired connection.  Hopefully Sky will sort update soon eh!

Watching The Wheel (BBCHD) via mini box at the moment and it's been pixelating horrendously on/off from the very beginning. Rewound  the episode slightly and played again - no pixilation at the moment so it's very random as always

Its all very interesting how so many people are having it. The things we have tried still issues. What's alarming is now people are saying its on there main Q. Yes I did try the rewind and it was fine so I am now thinking it is more or an interference issues dose everyone on here have sky broadband? Could it be a clash in network channels when communicating with the mini? Has sky changed satellite or something to do with that and how its sent? 4g? But yes I'm getting angry now !

I'm on Sky Broadband.

 

For others on sky BB, did it go down at Christmas, think it was Boxing Day. Mine kept on dropping out or running slow but was fine the next day. When I could access the service check said there were issues that Sky were aware of but failed to say what, and a lot of people were complaining on Twitter.

 

As well as pixelating, my mini as now started to jump slightly, for an example someone has just walked through a doorway into the kitchen, then you get a quick flash of them back in the doorway, then it sorts itself out. The sound isn't affected.
