We've just swapped to Sky Broadband after previously being with BT, and whilst I know that for the first two weeks connection can be a bit erratic due to testing at their end I can't even get to play one game of COD on the PS4 without losing connection, is this normal. I expected the odd dropout, but not to the point I can't even go 10 mins without a dropout. What also makes me think something is amiss is that I'm not having issues with web browsing, youtube, netflix streaming etc etc.
I've tried resetting the router and I've tried setting up a new connection with the PS4 but it's not helped. Anyone have any idea what the issue is and how to fix it? I've tried to get through to sky but with no luck

Your internet connection has been up for over 19 hours without issue
Are you connecting via wifi (if so is your ps4 in the same room?
Can you connect via ethernet including via powerline adapters if your house is on the same electric circuit?

Not really no unfortunately. If it's not the internet connection, then I can only assume that it's the wifi connection however nothing else has an issue and I use other wifi devices including my laptop in the same room as the PS4 so I don't understand why that's having an issue. It's only about 15ft from the router too 😞

Well it was going OK, managed to play 3 games this time before it lost connection. It came up saying ERROR Lost connection to the HOST/SERVER. Connection timed out, then it came up saying CONNECTION FAILED Unable to access online services [Reason: DUHOK - Guernsey]

Any error code would tend to be cod server. I was getting some kind of kessler error on series x and eventually solved it by switching of the console for 5 minutes to ensure console charge has been drained and then plug it back in again. It was a hassle because i had to do this over 3-4 days with vanguard until the issue resolved

Thanks, I'll try Modern Warfare and GT Sport too to see if they have issues as well and try to narrow it down 👍

Well Modern Warfare Crashes the same, and Sky Q has lost connection several times now too. If my router stats are showing the connection is stable what's going on?
I've bought a long ethernet cable to plug into the PS4 to try that, should be arriving today, but now I've noticed Sky is losing connection too I'm wondering if it is the WIFI or not. I'd be surprised as the router is only around 15ft away from both Sky Q and the PS4 with no obstruction. But even if it is WIFI that doesn't help me as I still need it sorting 😞

These are the stats today

So I'm starting to think that it may indeed by the COD servers as I tried Modern Warfare last night and it crashed/lost connection every time I tried to play a multiplayer, however when I checked the PS4 connection in the main system menus that was saying it was fine. I then tried GT Sport online and was able to play that for over an hour issue free, no stutters or anything.
So IF it is indeed some issue with the COD server why does it only appear to be affecting me, can a router cause issues with certain servers and vice versa? If so is there a workaround?
