Try unplugging the wireless connector then reboot your box at the mains, after turning it back on wait a further 3 or 4 minutes for it to finish loading before plugging the wireless connector back into it.

Have you tried rebooting your Sky box at the mains, leave it off for a few minutes and after powering it back up give it 3 or 4 minutes to finish loading back up. If that doesn't work can you let us know if your Sky box has wireless built in (it will have a wps button on the front of it) or do you use a wireless connector with the box ?

Is your Sky box connected over wifi or by cable? Has it worked before? Are you using an On Demand mini connector, or does your Sky box have built-in wifi?

@R+Boswell  try this sequence. Failing that, I think you'll need to call Sky - suspect your On Demand connector (ODC) may have failed.

1. Switch your Sky box off at the plug

2. Unplug the ODC from your Sky box

3. Restart your broadband router, by turning it off at the plug for 30 seconds

4. Wait another 4 minutes before turning your Sky box back on at the plug

5. Wait until your Sky box fully restarts - 4 minutes or so - then plug the ODC back in and see if it then connects.

Re: On demand not working

I've ried EVERYthing that's been suggested!!!! My network is working fine EXCEPT this Sky connection. Me thinks Sky is having an issue. But, heck, they're not accountable (well, only for their revenues).

@Panchdara+IOM  if you've tried all the suggestions here, your Sky box is probably faulty. Call Sky to report it. It's clearly not a Sky issue.

Re: On demand not working

Hello all,

My connection to On Demand and Netflix was lost last night.

After taking forum advice, I unplugged the plug from the wall, for around five minutes. Plugged back in, and away you go, happy days, everything is back to normal.

Re: On demand not working

No suggested steps work. New router, other devices fine. On Demand fail. Repeatedly tried all suggestions. Sky now want to push me into having Q.

Firstly, it means losing all my treasured saved recordings for which I have paid Sky considerable money to be able to record and keep my favourites. Will Sky replace those that even can be replaced on dvd?

Secondly, they have no engineer slot for weeks, during which my service is now greatly reduced but I am still paying a small fortune for what I am supposed to be getting.

Thirdly, the last time there was an issue with my hd box, Sky said I owned it now so engineer cost would be on me, but this time they are saying they want the hd box back (with my saves on it) when the engineer brings the stupid Q box.

Thoughts? Any ideas how to get my programs transfered ?

I will be calling them back to see what they intend to do about me paying for a service I'm not getting but I would appreciate help on the issue in general.

@Patch+irritated Firstly, you don't have to upgrade to Sky Q. Yes, Sky are pushing it but you don't have to have it. If you did decide to upgrade though, you keep your Sky+ box (unless you're still in your initial minimum term). That said, you wouldn't have access to the recordings on it even if you did keep it.
