Is switching off the router for a minute the same as resetting?
Will just switching off change the IP address

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYou'll be best leaving it off for at least 30 minutes for a new IP address.
Resetting is actioned by holding the reset pin for 30 seconds. That will reset back the all the default settings

Thanks, that really helps.
I don't really want everything reset so am reticent to hold down the reset button... but do need a new IP address.
By switching off as you suggest only refresh the IP address and not affect anything else?
Your help appreciated...
