If recording program cannot watch another

Cannot watch another program if record another. Sky help in services is saying it does not provide this service anymore. Used to be able to watch program and record another but this has ceased

I'm assuming you have Sky+ so have moved your post to the Sky+ forum. If not, please post to let us know.

You can certainly watch a live programme and record a second programme at the same time, just as has always been possible, providing you have cables connected to both dish input 1 and dish input 2 sockets at the back of your Sky box.

What error message are you seeing if you try to record a second programme?

There are no alternatives showings of this programme

I don't recognise that error, but it doesn't sound like one associated with being unable to record one programme while watching another.
