We've had confirmation that the ITV X crashing at the ad's has been fixed by ITV. If this isn't the case for you, can you let me know please?

Hi @Cornwall20
I'm sorry to hear that you are still having trouble. This particular problem was where adverts were crashing the app back to the home screen. What's your experience when you say freezing? Does it happen on other content?

Has the issue been fixed now, we watched something on itvx for the first time in about a week and there were no problems at all for the first time in ages, it didnt crash at all 😀👍

Not sure what you are referring to but the freezing does not happen during adverts strangely
but when it freezes we generally lose the next content of the script so consequently miss a few seconds. Or more importantly for me in premier league football
i have recently had a new ether lead delivered which for a week helped have also moved the box away from adjacent to the phone as advised but the problems still exist. Have had the speed checked by sky who confirm I am within parameters

Trying to watch the next episode (4) of a series, but plays the adverts at the beginning and then stops and displays screen saying 'Something went wrong. Sorry, it looks like there's an issue with ITVX at our end. Please try again later'
Been like this for the last two days. Also, since the beginning of using it, takes ages to come on and randomly gives a black screen for a few minutes after adverts. I'm so fed up with this now, it's hopeless 😔

@JulesSky1 wrote a very god thing which I have used, they wrote:
I contacted ITVX and they advised to clear the cache: Clearing the cache and a power cycle can be done as below:
- Firstly, you would need to open the ITVX app.
- You will then be presented with the home screen where you would need to input the code: 0,0,0,0,7,7,7 with your TV remote.
- This will Restart the app.
- Please power of the TV from the mains for 10s then back on.
I have to admit that was sceptical, but tried it and have had no issues since.
one thing to note is that is clears your playlist, so make a note of what you have in it and where you are in any series's you have marked so you can recover all this stuff with ease (I didn't and it took a while to remember everything we had saved).

I've had issues with Sky Glass since day 1, wish I'd kept my Sky Q and bought a much better TV, The sound is nowhere near as good as a sound bar (even though it's advertised as ATMOS), The speakers are made of poor quality and crackle even on half sound on some shows.

@Si476 Yes titally I agree about the sound it is average, it isnt bad watching a film but i am not blown away at all, it is definetley the most disappointing thing for me. It is advertised as an amazing sound experience. I have however noticed a little difference when we had the dolby atmos package and was watching a show with dolby atmos sound, Sky shows for example.
We had a sound bar before it broke and that was far, far superior.
when we have listened to music say the radio or a music channel I have found that the worst, it is very flat, tinny, no omph etc and find listening on a smart speaker is much better quality ?

@slaters I upgraded to the dolby Atmos package, but still the speakers cannot cope with certain sound frequencies. I also have issues with apps freezer half way through and then the whole TV losing connection. (I have Ethernet plugged into the back of the TV). Also have 500mb package so it should be more than fast enough.
Overall I feel conned by sky and the additional cost of everything they add. I gave up trying to call them, you wait forever, and even then they ask you to spend an hour going through all the troubleshooting they insist on doing.
