Re: IPv6 issues with PS5
There are no known security issues with IPv6 if there was the forum would be hectic.

Re: IPv6 issues with PS5
Did you have a Sky engineer visit and did they change anything on the router to your knowledge, if so that should be undone by performing a factory reset of the Sky router. This can be done by pressing the reset button on the router down for 15 seconds for a complete factory reset.
[add] Our expert on Sky's IPv6 network is @-rpnz- a Sky staff member and am sure they'd be right on the case if there were any known security issues.

Re: IPv6 issues with PS5
no, didnt toutch the router infact they perfomed a hard reset where the router was unplugged and left for 30 odd mins - and the turned back on - i then re connected the devices as new connections ( deleting the od connections first ofcourse )

Re: IPv6 issues with PS5
That was the correct action that the Sky engineer performed:-
1. Factory reset the router.
2. Leave the router off to obtain a new public IP address to mitigate any denial of service (DoS) attack.
The advice about IPv6 is nonsense, disregard that piece of information.
So, UPnP is working okay then the PS5 should be working correctly or you got an error message which was it in your case when attempting to play a multiuser game? And the error message with its number, please?

Re: IPv6 issues with PS5
I suggest you either replace the router or/and replace the ethernet cables, and the latter would be my suggestion it seems one or both cables are faulty with that message, and it's an intermittent connection issue.
