Just got a second SKY Q mini box and its giving the error "Maximum number of sky min box already in use".
Is there a way around this? Pointless having 2nd box unless both can be viewed the same time.

Check - Home - Settings - System Info
If the Hardware Version is 32Cxxx then it is one that is restricted to just one active mini & it is possible to upgrade to one which supports 2 active (for a cost)

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@893betIf you have an old 1TB box it will only support 1 mini box at a time, the only solution is to contact Sky and pay for an upgraded Q box, if it is 32Cxx then it needs updating.
I assume you have multi-room otherwise the first mini box would not work.

Seems i have the 1tb box.
Is the upgrade to 2tb a once off payment?
Can this be ordered online or do i need to ring them? Cant see the option on the site to order like i did the second ,mini box.

Yes the upgrade cost is a one off payment
It can only be ordered by calling as due to shortages last year (now resolved) they removed online options
