How do I contact customer services to find out if or when my area is getting fibre? I've tried the very helpful online help, but that isn't one of the few questions available, I've tried phone but the automated system doesn't have that information or let me get any further than please press!!!!!. Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers, tried the link, I think it suggests BT have 330mbp fttp line available but nothing to suggest if or when Sky will, all I get from sky is we will let you know when via their website, I want too know an approximate date as other providers are in my area, hence why I am trying to contact them.

That is fttp on demand it is mainly used by business who can afford to pay the £8000 or so costs. So its out of the reach of a domestic customer. You are looking for wbc fttp

Fttp bypasses the cabinet going straight to the exchange

Cheers for the link, fttc is available with BT or maybe one of the others, that said Lightning Fibre/City Fibre have recently installed in the street, but no word from sky!, they don't seem to have any interest at the moment.

Sky won't be using Lightning Fibre or City Fibre, only Openreach for FTTP.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreCity Fibre are their own company and only they use the lines. Sky rely on Openreach infrastructure to provide you with a service so they have to wait for Openreach to roll out fibre in your area.
The best place to check for updates is here: https://www.openreach.com/fibre-broadband
